Nforce 630i is one cool IGP for Intel

Industry sources have confirmed that Nvidia is working on super fast IGP chipset that should be coming to the PC near you very soon. the new chipset is called Nforce 630i and it will have HDMI and DVI support and it will score about 800 points in 3Dmark06 which is great for an IGP board. The motherboard manufacturers expects that the price will be close to Intel's G945 which is dirty cheap.

About time they offered an IGP that can actually do something. Should be interesting to see how it fares, might be more than enough for older games and some newer ones on minimal settings. Not to mention it might be enough to be a useful bonus with hybrid SLI.

Nice scores for an IGP, don't think the X1200 I have now can do that.

800 points in what context though, is what I couldn't figure out. Need to take the CPU's out of the score...

An x1550 512mb only gets 485/521 with SM2/SM3 scores, but a total of 1421 using an FX-62.
