Default NEW RAW CLOCK SPEED WORLD RECORD by AMD Bulldozer. Running at +8.4Ghz !!

Finally we are seeing some real numbers of the upcoming Bulldozer technology... and seeming very promising indeed. Surpassing the old Cedar Mill CPU-Z wonder CPUs... Finnish overclocker ( and AMD employee ) Macci teamed up with AMD specialists like Chew and co to set a new blistering world record... CPU AMD FX 8150... Motherboard used was Asus' Crosshair V Formula... cooling liquid helium...

Check out the score here : macci fx 8150 at 8429.38mhz

AMD Blog here : AMD Guinness blog/

Is AMD back in the game ? Only time will tell... but 5ghz for daily clocks seems nice...

It would be awesome if they managed to catch up to intel, but unfortunately i've already made my purchase this generation.

I hope they can bring us +7Ghz 8 core action for 3D benching, many would be happy with them speeds... Sandy is fast, but the hunt for a decent 5.6+ CPU is very expensive...

Since in the latest benchies they are comparing Bulldozer with the CPU from Intel with the previous architecture, "there is something stinking in Denmark" .

Hope there won't be the need to raise the clock speeds to insane levels to reach Sandy at much lower overclocks.
