Tesla CEO Elon [look at me] Musk was the cause of the break-up between Sergey Brin and Nicole Shanahan.

Brin, who was mates with Musk, not only divorced his wife but told his financial advisers to flog his investments in Musk's companies. Musk apparently said he was sorry.

Sources told the Wall Street Journal that the affair began in December last year in Art Basel in Miami. Brin and Shanahan were apparently separated, but still living together at the time.
