Recently PC Freaks & Geeks had the opportunity to take the Gainward
8800GTX 768MB GPU for a test drive in a review machine. While it
offered un disputed performance and it's appearance was certainly
scary, due to it's associated price tag, to a certain extent it
eliminated all those people looking for high performance graphics on a
tight budget Today PC Freaks & Geeks are going to be getting up close
and personal with MSI's offering of a mid ranged GPU: the MSI 8600GTS
256MB HD-OC. To make things interesting, and because we like to mix
things up here at PC Freaks & Geeks, we will be road testing the MSI
8600GTS against one of it's competitors: the Gainward 8600GTS 512MB.
Although slightly different in their specifications, these two cards
are very similarly priced - making them the ideal partners when it
comes to the comparison test.
