Didn't the same PSU give you problem last time?

Cpu fan header must be connected, if not the pc could experience boot problems

if you have problems booting with BH5 try another stick of memory and set vdimm to the max and make sure you set the cas latency to 2.5 or 2.0 as bh5 wont boot with cas 3.0, then swap in the BH5.

if you experience problems with Antec Neopower and Truepower PSUs and also with PowerStream PSUs, try Bios 1.37 and turn the PSU off after you shut down, seems to help as well

only problem the psu gave was low +12v, now it does not boot at all, switching bios/setting cas is difficult if you don't even have fans spinning
cpu fan header is connected to enermax 92mm

Enermax fans connected to the mainboard have given boot issues before, try another fan!

No other psu around?

I know, but not hooking up the enermax gives the same problem.
moreover, when I partially plug in the power (partially) fans start spinning on psu and southbridge/cpu. but the system does however not boot or anything.
weirdissimo.

ok.
I sacrificed my 20 minutes afternoonbreak to even more irritation
trying with 1 adata ram, two adata rams, different slots, no ram at all, one stick of twinmoss : nuttin'.
plugging the mainboard (just mainboard + fan on cpu hooked onto cpufan, no more enermax used) into another psu : NOTHING, but a little later suddenly the board fans started whizzing and the characteristic sounds of a coldboot went off.
shorting the powersw 3 seconds made it go silent again, and reconnecting them led to direct bootup.
no conditions had changed compared to when it did not want to boot.
I was ofcourse happy even not knowing what the problem was/had been.
I decided to try unplugging the psu again and replugging it to confirm the working situation, so I turned it out shorting the pwrsw, I turned off the psu, I removed the powerplug from the psu some seconds, put it back in, gave the cpu power again, tried to reboot : again nothing.

What is going on?
Is this board fubar?

I simply hate this, I have about 30 minutes free time every day... and I have to fill it up with solving crappy problems
do I have to buy everything twofold to make sure something works???µ
damn
and if I had someone living close to me with soem hardware to check what was exactly wrong, it'd be easier too, I simply don't have any time

and so.... instead of being able to game a bit, I'll be crapping around with all this ****.

Shorting the pwrsw makes the board power on and off ... so it works !

Maybe the powerswitch of your case is broke.
