Microsoft, McAfee vs. SuperFish
 

If this was a game of football, there would be a flag on the play for piling on. If you own one of the infected Lenovo laptops that has the Superfish adware on it, Microsoft and McAfee have taken up the cause and come to the consumers' rescue. Lenovo has announced it rolled out another patch to fix the problem, (since patch #1 didn't quite cut the mustard), but Microsoft Defender and McAfee have also pushed out removal tools to aid in Lenovo's bid to regain street credibility in removing the problem that the company initiated in the first place. We apologize for causing these concerns among our users – we are learning from this experience and will use it to improve what we do and how we do it in the future.
