Microsoft admits Vista screwed - working on first Service Pack SOFTWARE FIRM Microsoft has put the first service pack for its new super soaraway Vista operating system, which has not even made it onto the consumer market, on the "fast track". That is to say, it is hurrying up to fix it. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37125 |
It took Windows NT4 six service packs to run ok out of the box It took Windows 2000 four service packs to run ok out of the box It took Windows XP two service packs to run ok out of the box will it take Vista only 1 service pack to make it usable for the masses without security leaks, bugs, crashes, etc? |
i think that's wishful thinking jmke :) either way, i'm not planning on getting Vista until - there is a decent and stable version (hopefully SP1, but not holding my breath) - there are decently priced dx10 cards on the market worth the upgrade from my x1950pro - there are decent drivers for it all |
I still say it's a trick to make people that wait for the first SP buy it. Hence, you need to wait for SP2 or even 3. |
