MacBook Airs Go Solar with the Apple Juicz Quicktek has announced the Apple Juicz, a foldable solar panel that can be used to power Apple's Macbook Air notebook. Even if you love the idea of Apple's MacBook Air super-thin notebook computers, you've probably noticed their built-in batteries aren't removable or swappable, which makes it nigh impossible to swap in another battery when you're on the road, out in the wild, or just need a little more juice. http://news.digitaltrends.com/news-a...he-apple-juicz |
So, to use the world's thinnest laptop descently, you have to take a solar panel with you, making the macbook air nothing near the thinnest laptop ??? That's like ... buying a beertender and keep your beer in the fridge because the beertender isn't powerfull enough to cool your beer. computer logics ... it's nothing near the word |
No, because the macbook air consumes so little you can use a solar panel to power it. |
wutske you missed the point;) the air has a power brick but when you're in the wild you can run on solar energy, quite cool :) |
Definitely cool. Have they said if the new Voodoo laptops are going to have a swappable battery? Because if they do, I'd prefer it to the Air. |
I'm not saying it's not cool, it IS cool :-p But it feels more like a patch for a crappy battery |
because 4 hours battery life is short? Quote:
give me a break;) |

Anyway, it's a nice gadget and it would be nice if it were made available for more laptops (and a bit less pricey too) |
Yes, but now find a portable ich is that small and with such battery time :) For a 13 inch screen. |

the reason the air has limited battery life is due to reduced battery size (duh) not because it's a power guzzler |
