Lenovo Flex 5G available in the US

Qualcomm starts 5G laptop era

The Always Connected PC (ACPC) initiative and Snapdragon 8cx with 5G modem have enabled what will go down in history as the first 5G enabled laptop. The Lenovo Flex 5G is available at Verizon in the US.

The first-ever 5G laptop will sell for $1399.99 retail price or $58.33 for 24 months at Verizon, and it will require a Verizon data plan. Lenovo and Verizon promise that the machine can stay in stand by for 12 days and have a usage time up to 25.67 hrs. Qualcomm and Lenovo showed it the first time at Computex 19, a year ago.

Despite the obvious Snapdragon 8cx, it supports 8 GB LPDDR4X 1866MHz RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, 14” FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen, 400 nits, 72 percent color gamut, HD 720p with privacy cover and Hybrid Infrared (IR), Windows 10 Pro. The machine will enable video playback up to 25 hours and voice assistants, including Siri, Google Assistant, Bixby, Alexa Hands-Free, and Alexa button press supported, it's claimed.
