Intel Rolls Out Overclockable Core 2 Extreme X7800 Notebook Processor
 

DailyTech first brought you news of Intel's range-topping Core 2 Extreme X7800 processor in late January. The Merom-based processor is clocked at 2.6GHz, has an 800MHz FSB and features an alphabet soup of technologies including VT, EIST and EM64T. Intel officially announced the Core 2 Extreme X7800 yesterday. This marks the first time that the Extreme nomenclature has made its way over to Intel's mobile processors.
