Here are the results of a better Turbo mode for Lynfield : 870 scales better with clockspeed compared to 920 : it scores more than 10% better in many tests, while base clockspeed is only 10% higher.

if the total package (CPU/Mobo/ram) price is right I would say correct... if it retails at only 50-100 euro less don't think many people will bother to upgrade

Core i7 870 will be expensive; ignore that one; go for Core i5 750 instead, see how it destroys the Core 2 Q9550
