Intel hits Pentium D 900 glitch

A STORY on Tech Report, quoting the Akiba site, said that the first set of CPUs in the Pentium D 900 family might not have Enhanced Intel Speedstep and Enhanced Halt State enabled.

That has led to claims that the TDP of the chips could up by as much as 15 watts. The report also suggests that a BIOS update may be required for the chips and not be ready until the second quarter of this year.
