We first checked out Foxconn Inferno Katana mainboard, the flagship Foxconn solution based on Intel P55 Express chipset, last year. This elite mainboard belongs to the Quntum Force series. However, the very first tests revealed a number of different issues, so we decided to postpone our review at least until new BIOS versions become available. Unfortunately, the new BIOS updates didn’t improve the situation, so we assumed that we were plain unlucky and got a faulty mainboard sample. Therefore, we decided not to proceed with Foxconn Inferno Katana review at that point in order not to mislead the readers by talking about an improperly functioning unit. We got in touch with Foxconn representatives and after evaluating the situation they kindly decided to provide us with a replacement sample, so that we could continue with our review plans. So today we are proud to offer you our review of Foxconn Inferno Katana mainboard.
