ordering product A, receiving product B. resending the product which was delivered by error, and never getting refunded, or getting the correct product.
Ordering product A, and having to wait 6+ months. Ordering several books and only receiving halve, and having paid for all of them... etc etc

have 10x better experience with Amazon.com in the US, then with Proxis here in BE :/

placed 3 times an order @ proxis.be , never received a thing.

Don't you have to pay import tax for http://www.dvdboxoffice.com or amazon.com?

jmke 25th July 2004 16:56

depends; sometimes it slips through, sometimes it doesn't.

But normally you pay in advance, what happened with your money?

Did you not receive it because it did not arrive as a fault of the Belgian Postal Service? In the past I had the experience that 2 of my packages never arrived (things not ordered from proxis), only reason can be that the stuff must have been stolen by the Postal Service. A few month's ago they arrested an employee that had stolen an enormous amount of cd's.

The firm from which I purchased always sends a new package though.

No you dont have to pay taxes @ dvdboxoffice and the regular shipment is free (it takes about a week).

It cost you 8€ to ship from canada to belgium in 2 days;)

In Ultra quality, we load each texture; diffuse, specular, normal map at full resolution with no compression. In a typical DOOM 3 level, this can hover around a whopping 500MB of texture data. This will run on current hardware but obviously we cannot fit 500MB of texture data onto a 256MB card and the amount of texture data referenced in a give scene per frame ( 60 times a second ) can easily be 50MB+. This can cause some choppiness as a lot of memory bandwidth is being consumed. It does however look fantastic :-) and it is certainly playable on high end systems but due to the hitching that can occur we chose to require a 512MB Video card before setting this automatically.

PLAYABLE ON HIGH END SYSTEMS...
hopefully a 3 ghz a64 fx with a pelt cooled voltmodded x800xt-pe and a raptor and 1 gig of ram will classify as high end, maybe I'd better get another gig of ram ;)

we'll your at it, get a gig for me too ;)

Kmelectronic offers a 6800GT bundled with Doom 3 for 425 euro... another interesting buy. :)

jmke 26th July 2004 21:12
