No incentive to invent stuff

The big tech company IBM has scrapped a programme that paid its inventors for patents or publications, leaving some fuming that they are losing extra cash.

By ditching the scheme, IBM has dodged a money problem by wiping out the saved-up, unused credits given to program members, which could have been turned into cash prizes.
