Hynix reveals 2Gb GDDR5 Chips, 40nm speeds up to 7Gbps Hynix said its newly-developed GDDR5 operates at a speed of 7Gbps and processes up to 28GB/s with a 32-bit I/O. The chip is also designed to minimize power consumption with 1.35V operation voltage, an 'eco-friendly' device that reduces energy consumption by 20% over Hynix' preceding memory solutions using 50nm-class technology. http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20091221PR204.html |
Do note that Samsung already had 7Gbps GDDR5 out in February this year http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/f...nm-gpus-61487/ |
