Default HP is Intel's biggest customer

THE MAKER of jolly expensive printer ink, HP has become Chipzilla's number one customer.

After years of Intel being involved in a love in with Dell for being its biggest customer, it seems Michael has had to hand over his customer of the year award to HP.

HP already holds the title of world's largest PC vendor since nicking it from Dell in 2006. However last year it accounted for 20 per cent of Intel's revenue. Last year it only managed 17 per cent, which was a whisker behind Dell's 18 per cent.

That's funny, I thought HP was AMD's biggest customer too.

Indeed, I thought the same thing. Wasn't HP the first one to offer the first AMD netbooks ?
