How-To: Resource Hacking Part 2
 

In Part 1 of Resource Hacking, as an example, I described the process in detail of making a very simple edit of the ‘open with’ dialog. In this article, we will go into more detail and describe the somewhat cryptic code, as well as show you how to add controls and resources to a file. Adding resources will enable you to add images or animations to Windows and other program dialogs.
