How much system memory do you have?

In your main system , how much memory do you have?
take a pick, and let us know why you are happy/unhappy with what you got!

easypanic 5th December 2004 13:16

512, enough for me till now :)

wutske 5th December 2004 13:19

512mb, tough I would be happy w/ 1024mb (especialy if it's given away (hint hint) (sometimes running out of memory.

jmke 5th December 2004 13:21

1.5Gb;
2x512MbCorsair PC3200 Pro 1x512Mb PC3200 Mushkin LVLII

a joy to work with:)

Dentnvr6 5th December 2004 15:21

1gig mushkin high perf level II (bh5)
happy with the amount, but there's always room for improvement.
I would like to change them to the V2 (tccd) though

jmke 5th December 2004 15:28

uhm; there is no tangible performance advantage on S754 when running high HTT speeds with memory 1:1. So I would not know why you would change out that memory :)

The Senile Doctor 5th December 2004 16:07

this is a weird poll John, everybody has less then 2049 here...
or am I missing sth

jmke 5th December 2004 16:15

blah; you know how the poll is meant to be; if you vote less then <2049, then it means you got more then 1gb in your system right?

The Senile Doctor 5th December 2004 16:16

my analytic mind was confused :p

StaRflaM 5th December 2004 16:28

1gig value kingston, it's no oc ramm but it's just for everyday use and i'm gonna but 256mb of good ramm one of these months :D

kristos 5th December 2004 18:18

1gig (I think corsair xms 3500 v1.1 right now) and pleased with it.
defenately an improvement over 512 in some games.

although that once I can spare the money, I'll get me a gamepc that I won't' start messing with and I'll defenately have 2gig in it. mucho better for mmorpg games :)

Dentnvr6 5th December 2004 18:34

@JMKE: because I love this ram, but doesn't wonna go above 250htt and doesn't accept anything above 2 cas latency.
okay; would like to have both!

jmke 5th December 2004 18:36

"@JMKE: because I love this ram, but doesn't wonna go above 250htt"

memory dividers on NF3 work superbly

kr15t0f 5th December 2004 18:42

512MB It's still good enough. But if I make an upgrade to A64 I will also but 1GB ram

agent #2 5th December 2004 19:40

1 GB OCZ platinum 3200 rev 2.

Makes a diffrence in loading times imo.

Da_BoKa 5th December 2004 21:06

1 gig kingston value

Magnum_ 5th December 2004 21:43

1gb
Is there much difference noticeable when you put more memory in?

jmke 5th December 2004 22:05

only when you like to have more apps open at the same time + run games like D3/FarCry/HL2

BZRK 5th December 2004 22:19

512MB Corsair PC2100 :gay:

SuAside 5th December 2004 22:37

bigapl 5th December 2004 22:47

1G of Corsair 3200XL Pro
wit the blinkie lights LOL

ph0ton 5th December 2004 23:51

512mb

it's sufficient for Enemy Territory
but it's waaaaay to little for making music :(

jort 6th December 2004 00:18

2 x 512
ocz pc3700 gold rev2

before that 2x256 takems pc 3200

in games like doom3 you notice that VERY good when you have more memory

piotke 6th December 2004 09:06

256 Mb :)

Sidney 6th December 2004 14:18

One system with 2x512; all others 256.
Never able to taste much gain until my brother loaded up a 2 GB Invector5 plant piping drawing data file. I talked to myself that the day I need to load up a 2GB data file to number crushing is far and in between.;)

Memory is EXPENSIVE......
The money you spend on 2 sticks of 512 could get you a complete Dell system.:)
