Hitachi Unveils New CinemaStar Hard Drives
 

Hitachi announced a pair of new hard drives today in its CinemaStar family. The new drives include the CinemaStar 7K1000.B and the CinemaStar 5K320. Both of the CinemaStar drives are aimed at use inside digital video recorders (DVRs).

The CinemaStar 7K1000.B ranges in capacity from 160GB to 1TB of storage and spins at 7,200 RPM. The drive is a 3.5-inch SATA unit that sounds very similar to the Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000.B announced earlier in July.
