HD 38x0 top end to sell for $199 We’ve received a short update and learned that RV670XT the card that might end up branded as Radeon HD 3870 will sell for $199 at launch. Nvidia expected a $249 price for the new RV670XT, but ATI realized that G92/D8M is a better performer and that it has to drop the price to be competitive. http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...40&Ite mid=34 |
Hmm, if the card doesn't perform well enough, lets just change the name drastically enough to make it seem like it does? What is with ATI's naming scheme?? $200 vs $250, not much incentive to buy a lesser performing card, next-generation name aside. |
