Half-Life Has a New Patch, 19 Years after Launch

Half-Life 3 confirmed? Valve still cares about the franchise after all: the company released a patch for the original game last night, fixing a number of crash and save-related issues. It's impressive that they are still updating the title, considering it came out way back in 1998. Updates for Half Life Blue Shift and Opposing Force have also been released. Changes in this update are: Fixed crash when entering certain malformed strings into the game console. Thanks to Marshal Webb from BackConnect, Inc for reporting this. Fixed crash when loading a specially crafted malformed BSP file. Thanks to Grant Hernandez (@Digital_Cold) for reporting this. Fixed malformed SAV files allowing arbitrary files to be written into the game folder. Thanks to Vsevolod Saj for reporting this. Fixed a crash when quickly changing weapons that are consumable.
