Gigabyte GTX 1080 Rock Edition goes back to the basics
 

Graphics card manufacturers might be sensing a developing retro craze in video cards. About a month ago, we reported on an Asus GeForce GTX 1060 card built using an older DirectCU II cooler. Now Gigabyte is doing its own spin on the new-card-old-cooler concept with its GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Rock graphics card. The new Rock Edition card is built using the GTX 1080 WindForce OC card's PCB design, coupled with the older Windforce 3X cooler last seen on the company's GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
