Gigabyte 965P-DS3P rev 2.0 motherboard

Hoping to steal some thunder from the latest high-end motherboard offerings from other manufacturers, Gigabyte has released the 965P-DS3P rev 2.0. In a nutshell, Gigabyte has corrected the flaws that have kept their previous Core 2 Duo boards from the top spots, and have also gone with an aggressive pricing strategy, allowing this sub-$200 motherboard to compete with more expensive models from ASUS and MSI.

Yeah I really wish I could find one of these for sale. Just had to go with the regular DS3 from Newegg.

Time to move on...

Nice board and another one sure to add to their apparent domination of the 'best value Intel965 MB' end of the market (if recommendations in various forums is anything to go by the 965P-S3 must be the best selling 965 board of the past six months).
I hope though that Gigabyte (and others) aren't wasting too much time on revising their existing boards when they should be focussed on designing boards with the new Intel Chipsets due in a few months... :D

Argh, only 3.5ghz with an E6300? I already got that with the original rev of the DS3! This new board is rumored to do closer to 530FSB, if the RAM is capable of going that high. Froogle showed two German sites to be selling these already though...

I would figure that Gigabyte wold likely base their upcoming Bearlake boards off the same DS3/DS3P design with only a few changes?

The S3 is the best selling board on the site that I buy hardware from, which is a major player here.
