![]() | ![]() Creative Technology, the leading maker of discrete audio cards and a supplier of digital media players, is losing traction in the market of gamers, despite heavily advertised EAX technologies several years ago. Only about 15% of gamers use sound cards by Creative Labs, whereas the rest use mostly integrated audio. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/multime...118143453.html

![]() | ![]() if Creative can get out stable drivers, I'd be more than happy to get an X-Fi; I really like the Audigy 2 ZS Pro I have in my rig, but with the creative drivers the system is not stable, with KXdrivers I can get it to work, but without EAX

| ![]() i'm using an Audigy 2, no probs with it. came from my previous rig & i dont see why i should pay a ridiculous price for a new X-Fi card if the old one works good enough. once upon a time, the average gamer went to Creative because the onboard solutions sucked. but since nforce 2 there has been a lot of improvement. many rather skimp on the sound, than on cpu, mobo, monitor, etc. |

![]() | ![]() yes the Audigy 2 prob doesn't pop up everywhere, but already ran into two motherboards which refused to work correctly when creative drivers were installed, MSI K8N Neo and Asus A8N SLI, nforce3 and nforce4 chipset respectively, once Creative drivers are installed the system will either bluescreen or come to a complete stop; *hang*. Really fun; tried with 2 different Audigy 2 cards. there is a 1000² reply thread on Creative support forums regarding this issue
