Future Hammer Buying Tips

If you want a Hammer, for most people, the bucket will probably have enough water in it towards the end of year/early next. You'll catch most of the improvements for a lot longer than if you try to catch them all.

Exactly when you buy is up to you. What you need to understand is that you're not going to find yourself with an overflowing bucket anytime soon. We're in an era of slow development, of choosing between lower expectations or constant disappointment.

Clapping with only one hand does not make any sound .....

Clapping with two hands is the way to go. The good time is when you hear the clapping from Intel and AMD; ATI and Nvidia; VIA/SIS; VIA/Nvidia; Abit/Asus; Gigabyte and MSI, etc.

After all the clapping; they find out the audience is not the general public at large. They figure people will buy PC whether it is 1.5GHz or 1.8 GHz as long the as the price is right. And, only the hard core will go for the latest which amounts to less than 1% of total users.

When we review a product, we must also consider the investment/tooling and the pay back period. How many must be sold to get the initial investment, let alone profit?

The bucket scenario is the pipe-line concept, while you see the amount of water in the bucket, you don't see the water filled inside the long pipe-line.
