impressive, didn't tought the Sony would fare so well

I wish they tested Liteon and maybe some endurance tests.

To me, they all perform close to each other. With 4 different brands I am using, the key element is how well the drive reacts to the type/brand of DVD. I have found BenQ writes at 16X using 8X DVD while Samsung and NEC write at 8X.

Then, I found my Toshiba has Samsung name on the drive - Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Corporation.
