Escape from Butcher Bay–Developer’s Cut

While games based on movies tend to be a hit-or-miss affair for all gamers regardless of their platform of choice, PC gamers usually suffer the additional indignity of being treated like step-children when it comes to titles ported over from consoles, with buggy graphics, terrible controls and checkpoint save-game systems that absolutely suck. Fortunately, Starbreeze Studios doesn’t subscribe to the “Movie Franchise + Console Game Ported to PC = Train-wreck PC Game” formula that has become the official mantra for too many game publishers, as we’ll see with this review of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay–Developer’s Cut.
