1600x1200 0xAA/8xAF max in-game details, average 15~35FPS with 8600GT 256Mb

Moeha :)

at 1280x1024 FPS is already in 40-50 region, lower is 60+FPS

It runs like complete *** on my pc and I can't understand why.

I got the 7.7s on a x1800XT 512MB and even with medium settings (shadows and other stuff off), 1024x768 and I get a crappy 26 min FPS and the rest between 30 and 50 measured with fraps. CPU is a x2 4400+ and 2 GB Ram are available too.

Dualcore support is enabled and I only use 16xHQAF which is really needed so the textures don't look like crap.

16xAF is overkill in my humble opinion, 4x/8x AF is enough;)

8600GT runs 60FPS at those settings you mention, but with everything at HIGH

Rutar 5th August 2007 08:24

still doesn't explain why it runs like that

7900GT has same low performance ~35FPS

check 8600GTS numbers, quite a boost!

Rutar 5th August 2007 11:41

It just has a pisspoor eecandy to FPS ratio on older cards?

jmke 5th August 2007 12:03

seems so, maybe try lowering shader detail to minimum ?

I wish I knew what setting was the real performance killer.

Is there any benchmark built into the beta that I could run with a command?
