Elpida Guilty of DRAM Price Fixing Elpida today plead guilty to DRAM price fixing under an agreement reached with the US Justice Department. Under the agreement, the company will pay a total fine of $84 million. Elpida now joins its partners in crime which include Hynix, Infineon, Micron, and Samsung. Those company faced fines ranging from Infineon's $160 million to Samsung's fine of a whopping $300 million (second largest in US antitrust history). |
