Default DRAM Makers Start Reducing Production

Some DRAM makers have started cutting production for DRAM memory in order to reduce their losses from fast falling prices, according to industry sources. The makers also hope that the reduction in production will help DRAM return to a supply-demand balance in the third quarter, the sources added.

Cutting down production or gear up for DDR3, either way if Vista is not gaining ground or desktops are not selling well main stream DRAM price will remain low. Laptop sales increase alone won't do it.

Prices reached a level where people just bought 4 GB because it was so cheap. Looks like it will be over soon
