DFI Infinity NF650i "Dark" Motherboard Review
 

When DFI created the LAN Party series they wanted to offer a similar line of products without the added fluff so to appeal to a larger mainstream market. The Infinity line of motherboards was their response. The first Infinity boards were very sleek and sexy and comprised of shiny Red PCBs. The chipsets were always a step down from what was found on the LAN Party boards although in most cases could outperform the bigger brother with the right components.<br><br>

As time went on the Infinity line lost the sexy red PCB and seemed to have gotten lost in a changing world. That is until recently with the introduction of the revamped Infinity Dark. These boards followed many of the same trends found in early Infinity offerings with the addition of a black PCB, some LAN Party specific features for convenience, and some attention to overclocking and performance. Our motherboard preformed exceptionally well and despite a minor issue with the sound drivers and the constant whine of a high speed 40mm fan we found no reason to complain and walked away with only good things to say.
