Dell laptop explodes at Japanese conference

AN INQUIRER READER attending a conference in Japan was sat just feet away from a laptop computer that suddenly exploded into flames, in what could have been a deadly accident.

well, it might be one of those laptops with overheating batteries (the battery might have been recalled, but if the end user doesn't know or doesn't care...)

Well, I have to wonder if it was rigged... I mean, secondary explosions? Hopefully they'll run some tests and make the results known, or something...
