| Corsair Vengeance M60 / M90 Gaming Mice Review Over the last few years Corsair has been rapidly expanding their reach into the enthusiast PC market from their roots as a simple memory manufacturer, getting into everything from cases and cooling to power supplies and speakers. Now, Corsair is flexing its retail muscles once again to go after the bread and butter of industry heavyweights Logitech and Razer, attacking them head-on with a new line of Vengeance gaming peripherals. I've already taken a look at Corsair's Vengeance 1500 headset and particularly enjoyed it, but how will their mice and keyboards stack up as first-generation products with fledgling drivers? To find out, I took an in-depth look at the Vengeance M60 and M90 mouse, two wildly different mice that cater to the FPS and MMO crowds with various differences and yet many similarities. Grab a soda and get comfortable; this review is rather long. http://www.everythingusb.com/corsair...use-21519.html Verdict: Corsair's Vengeance M60 and M90 mice both offer excellent grips and superb tracking performance but are ultimately held back by premature drivers four months post-launch. The Good: Excellent tracking performance Top-notch gliding with large Teflon feet Configurable sniper button for low DPI on-demand Grippy scroll wheel with balanced resistance Hardware playback of macros without drivers Configurable repeat options of macros (M90) Comfortable palm grip (M90) Thumb cluster buttons have distinct feels (M60) Perfect button placement for palm grippers The Bad: No side-scroll buttons or tilt wheel Single keystrokes cannot be assigned for holding down Unintuitive button config; poor documentation Macros cannot be reassigned to different buttons Software playback mode does not work in all games (M60) Confused identity between palm & claw grip (M60) Mouse3 broke in one week of use (may be isolated incident) (M90) Macro button 13 requires clicking at proper angle (M90) Thumb buttons are a bit stiff (M90) No DPI indicator http://www.everythingusb.com/corsair...use-21519.html |
