Icon17 Coolink presents - Mainboard Silencer - chipset cooler

Vienna / Taipei, June 22nd 2006 - Coolink today presented the "Mainboard Silencer", a new passive chipset cooler. The Mainboard Silencer is compatible with all ATX mainboards and perfectly suited for replacing loud northbridge coolers and thus making the whole system more silent.

"Many mainboards are equipped with underdimensioned heat-sinks, which can only provide the required cooling performance when equipped with loud high-rpm fans", explains Timothy Chu, Coolink CEO, "The Mainboard Silencer is an easy and affordable solution in order to eliminating an annoying source of noise within the case."

To allow for optimal passive cooling performance, Coolink's Mainboard Silencer features all-aluminium construction. The stepped top edge of the heat-sink ensures maximum compatibility with larger CPU coolers.

The Mainboard Silencer can be installed either via the mainboard's push-pin mounting holes or using the supplied self-adhesive thermal pad, which also makes it possible to attach the Mainboard Silencer to chips other than the northbridge.

Prices and availability
The Mainboard Silencer is available with immediate effect via Coolink's international sales partners. The recommended retail price is EUR 5,90.
