Choosing The Right Vista

At a glance, here is a list of features that are not in every edition of Windows Vista. If the table cell is highlighted in blue then the corresponding features are in the corresponding edition of Vista. This should be your first place to look. If there are features you need or want you'd better get the edition that has them.

Sincerely, I'm more confused than ever, should I stick to my first idea of going for Vista Home Premium or should I take the Ultimate package?

In the meanwhile, I'll stay with WIn XP Pro till the childhood's problems of Vista are solved.

Especially the audio part.

Stay with XP until
a) Vista SP1 is released
b) applications/games add NOTICEABLE improvements on the new OS

only when A+B are "ok" I would consider going to Vista

if you want to play beta tester for Microsoft, by discovering that certain games and/or applications don't work, crash your PC, bluescreen, reinstall etc etc be my guest...

you'd have to be stupid to change now...
My workstation works impeccably, I'll need PLENTY of guarantee before I flush over 4000 patiënt maps to another OS...
