 |  California to License Self-Driving Cars The California Senate has unanimously passed a bill authorizing the California DMV to develop safety standards and licensing procedures for testing of autonomous vehicles in California. This makes California the second state to address the testing of self-driving automobiles. "The bill would permit autonomous vehicles to be operated or tested on the public roads in this state pending the adoption of safety standards and performance requirements that would be adopted under this bill." http://www.hardocp.com/news/2012/08/...fdriving_cars/ |
