Default Building a Modular PSU

Maybe that's why some things are still best when done at home - including the modular PSU. If you've got a decent but somewhat old PSU (or a new, silent one, many of which are not modular) then look no further. We'll tell you how to take your old PSU and make it better than ever for about $20 and a few hours of time.

Now that is something I would call true modding.

Cool, but its a shame they didn't take a fairly strong power supply use some heavier gauge connectors and make a modular PSU you could use in a high end machine. And he would of been smart to advise when working inside the psu case do so using one hand at a time; to prevent becoming "the path of least resistance" .

And also very stupid. The contacts of that 25-pin d-sub (or sub-d) connector are not meant for power. Those are signal contacts and are rated for 1A or 3A. Dunno about the other contacts. I also don't understand why it's usefull to make the ATX connector should be "modular" because you always need that one
