![]() | ![]() World of Warcraft has caught on with the online community in record time, especially with overseas audiences such as Europe and China. Blizzard also has a commanding presence in terms of respect from players in Asia, thanks to the company's grand portfolio of hit after hit. We recently reported that Blizzard now has over 6 million active subscribers to WoW and the numbers are continuing to grow on a daily basis. Interestingly however, Blizzard's COO Paul Sams said in an interview that Blizzard does not have plans to release WoW for the Xbox 360 platform. Despite enormous revenue being generated by subscriptions to WoW, Blizzard believes that because of the inherent differences in play architecture, porting WoW over to the Xbox 360 console would severely compromise the play experience of the game. WoW itself is heavily dependent on the use of a mouse and keyboard. http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=827
