Battlefield 5 gets official system requirements

Requirements for Ray Tracing as well

EA/DICE has revealed official minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the Battlefield 5 game which is scheduled to launch on November 20th, including recommended requirements for enabling DirectX Raytracing.

What is quite surprising is that both minimum and recommended system requirements are not as high as we would expect, especially considering the eye-candy we saw in some previews. Of course, these will heavily depend on the actual resolution and graphics settings.

According to the DICE official Reddit post, the minimum system requirements include AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5-6600K, 8GB of RAM, and Geforce GTX 1050/GTX 660 or Radeon RX 560/HD 7850. The recommended system requirements raise the bar to Ryzen 3 1300X or Core i7-4790 CPU, weird 12GB of RAM, and either Geforce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 580 8GB graphics card.

Both minimum and recommended system requirements also include 512kbps or faster online connection, 50GB of storage space, and 64-bit Windows 10 OS (although it will apparently work on 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8.1).

If you want to enable DirectX Ray Tracing, you'll need Ryzen 7 2700 or Intel Core i7-8700, 16GB of RAM and at least Nvidia RTX 2070 graphics card. Of course, you'll also need 64-bit Windows 10 with October 2018 update.

In case you missed it earlier, EA and DICE have already announced that the post-launch content will be split into chapters, and for starters, the game will include e eight multiplayer maps, eight multiplayer modes, the single-player War Stories mode, and plenty of weapons and classes.

The battle royale mode, called Firestorm, will be a part of the third chapter, called Tides of War, which will come in March.

As noted, Battlefield 5 launches on November 20th, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
