They use to say your car costs about 6 months of your earning; your house payment is about 30% of your monthly income.

What is the cost ratio of your PC versus your income?

and exactly where did they used to say that your car costs 6 months earning?

if that's the case I would not be driving Audi

it's more like... 2 YEARS earning for 1 car over here

This is based on car and house loan using 10 percent down payment. Additionally, it is based on what a person could afford from net income and be able to stay "alive".

Naturally, some people prefer to over spend. Bear in mind, monthly saving is key, which most people don't do these days

It also came from the day I was getting my realtor license.

Damn, four years ago I was making $100,000 a year net. I was driving a Civic EX. I should have gone to see a Doctor
