(NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX: ATY) today announced that its FireGL(tm) workstation graphics boards have been certified for SolidWorks® 2005 3D mechanical design software. Engineers and designers use ATI's FireGL graphics boards and SolidWorks to visualize fully shaded and rendered models in real-time so they can design better products faster and more accurately, speeding time to market.

With ATI's award-winning FireGL graphics and SolidWorks software, users are able to create complex designs for computer-aided Design (CAD), solid modeling and visual simulation. SolidWorks 2005 expands on the software's legacy of ease of use, design power, and affordability by also providing users with comprehensive drawing tools and new productivity features that will help speed the adoption of 3D design around the world.
