HardOCP's review is definitely worth a look, together with the one from techreport, those results are pretty much in-line, using similar bench methods; the X2 is good, but price/performance wise it's not the best out there.

It's not just price/performance that is problematic: Size, power consumption and heat are suboptimal too.

It should be compared to the GT and new GTS, the older cards have become pointless.

the GTS comes close in performance but not that close, the GT drags behind even more, you need SLI, which is at $500 to get ahead again. one GTX is $400 and will offer more PNP performance
