Default ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro @ GruntVille

When you combine that with the Tivo-like features that the ATI Rage Theater chip and Philips TV Tuner provide you have quite a compelling package. All the features and functionality of a Tivo that can play the latest games and run Photoshop. Add in the functionality that the Remote Wonder provides, by allowing you to control the PC from another room, and it is easy to understand why the AIW 9800 Pro is a popular card.

The only real drawbacks to this card are the tangle of cables it will create behind your PC and the price. Though when you consider what the card does, the price is not that hard to swallow.

That said, there are some areas for improvement, primarily in the software that is provided. Anyone who has used a ReplayTV, Tivo, or even Sanpstream will understand what I am talking about. The Gemstar guide is nice and provides all the functionality that you need, but could use some UI improvements that would take it to the next level.

If you are looking for the best of both worlds, a PVR and gaming rig in one box, you need look no further then the All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro for all your graphics needs. Top line gaming performance and easy to use recording functionality make a hard combination to beat.

PROS
* Blazingly fast gaming, with all the eye candy
* Single Slot design that runs fairly cool
* All the HTCP/PVR features you could want
* Remote Wonder!
* Pause Live TV

CONS
* Expensive
* Cable clutter
* PVR Software could be better
