Price justification issues aside, I think the Athlon 64 X2 4200+ is an impressive piece of technology. While it doesn't manage to please everyone in every case, the X2 definitely has the potential to hand Intel its butt on a silver platter after we give it some time to mature, and multi-threaded applications start popping up.
