It is an exciting time in the computer industry at the moment as we are witnessing the birth of several new technologies. Intel has just recently announced a range of new processors and chipsets. These new technologies are all of course designed to boost system performance in one way or another. When combined, all these new technologies should create a very powerful state-of-the-art computer. There is one piece of hardware that is designed to bring all these technologies together and make them work. That piece of hardware would be the motherboard, the largest piece of hardware in any computer system.
