ASUS Launches EN7800GTX Graphics Card Equipped with Next-Generation GeForce® 7800 GTX

Taipei, Taiwan; June 22, 2005 – ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), a leading provider of high-quality graphics solutions, today introduced the EN7800GTX graphics card, which incorporated NVIDIA®’s latest high-end Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) – GeForce® 7800 GTX with 256MB high-speed DDR3 video memories.

The ASUS EN7800GTX offers 470MHz GPU clock, 1.2GHz of DDR3 video memories and a stylish and effective cooling fansink. The EN7800GTX further provides versatile connectivity options including Dual VGA, Dual DVI, S-Video out, composite video out, HDTV video out, S-video in and composite video in.

The GeForce 7800 GTX, codenamed G70, is the next-generation graphics chip family from NVIDIA. This superscalar GPU architecture delivers up to 2X the shading power of previous generation products, taking gaming performance to extreme levels. The GeForce 7800 GTX supports Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0, Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0. In addition, it implemented a built-in video processor that enables unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video and precise image scaling for all video content to turn your PC into a home theatre.

The graphics card also offers exclusive innovations found only on ASUS solutions and the latest game bundle.
Splendid Video Enhancing Technology: Built into the driver of ASUS graphics cards, Splendid Video Enhancing Technology detects activation and usage of video applications and automatically optimizes image quality for the best visual results. Splendid takes PC graphics capability to the next level by enhancing depth and color intensity in real time.

GameFace Messenger™: It is a user-friendly interface similar to those of the most popular instant messenging services to streamline the process of inviting multiple players online to a gameference (game conference). Simply register, long on and start the fun. GameFace Messenger is as easy as the free messengers currently available in the market.

GameLiveShow: Just like people who share their lives and thoughts on blogs, expert gamers often want to show off their perfectly executed strategies and five-hit combinations. GameLiveShow is another innovative feature incorporated in ASUS graphics cards. It is created to allow gamers to stream broadcast their gaming experiences live over the Internet. Other players can now go online to check out how the experts do it.

ASUS GameReplay: Practice makes perfect, and that holds true in gaming as well. For popular LAN (local area network) party team games such as Counter Strike and Unreal Tournaments, strategy is the key to victory. GameReplay records gaming action into MPEG4 video files so that teams can review all the moves and tactics later on to get better for the next tournament. The recorded files can also be used as screen savers or posted on blogs.
