Icon17 ASUS Establishes European Branch in Benelux

--ASUS aims to rank among the top 5 notebook brands in Benelux market--

ASUS today announced the opening of its newest branch office in Benelux. ASUS is the perennial manufacture of the motherboard and graphics card industries and a top 10-player worldwide for broadband modems (2nd) and notebooks (4th). With the opening of the Nieuwegein office, ASUS will use its Dutch presence to support its growth strategy, improve service and introduce new products. At the same time, ASUS believes in building long lasting and mutually beneficial relationships and is looking forward to strengthen cooperation with its existing partners as well as seeking new ones. The Benelux office will be open for business in April.

ASUS Region Manager Steve Chang is at the helm of the new office. ’Our staff consists of product management, marketing, sales and channel marketing,” said Mr. Chang, ”With our physical presence right at the heart of the market, we are in a better position to support the sales channel and enhance the brand experience. We will be extending existing channel programs and developing new initiatives. One of the marketing team’s priorities is to deliver ASUS brand message to the consumers through different activities to create more communication.’

ASUS Notebooks Present Revolutionary Innovations
As a notebook manufacturer the brand is in 6th place in the Netherlands (2005 Q4 IDC report) and also shows significant growth in Belgium. The goal is to advance into the top 5 brands in the Benelux notebook market.

Year 2006 is an exciting year for ASUS Notebooks. The comprehensive partnership with Automobili Lamborghini merges advanced information technology and automobile heritage and gave birth to the stunning ASUS-Lamborghini VX1 Notebook that inherits all the striking traits of a true Lamborghini. With the upgrade of mobile computing solution, ASUS launched a complete notebook series based on the latest Intel Centrino platform providing superior mobility with video communication capability and wireless digital TV broadcast feature.

Looking ahead, ASUS continues to exceed boundaries and integrate untraditional elements into the designs. The S6 with aluminum body and leather casing is the ultimate representation of digital fashion. Performance and functionality combined with aesthetics is the trend in today’s 3C market. ’We designed the Lamborghini notebook according to our design strategy, which perfectly meets consumer demands. It’s not just a beautiful laptop, it also delivers tremendous performance,” said ASUS designer Markus Wierzoch, “the same is true for our S6 series featuring leather casing and matching accessories.’
