Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2

Inexpensive cooling for a hotter than hell 8800 GT sound like a good idea? Many have probably considered the Accelero S1 but might have been confused by the low price. For around US$25 this might be the best video card insurance you ever bought.

they failed, it doesn't work in a open setup because it relies on thermodynamics

yup, testing VGA coolers outside a case is even worse than testing CPU coolers outside one; since VGA coolers depend on the case airflow to work best and to create the correct airflow path. The S1/S2 inside a case work perfectly, besting the highest end copper monsters.

Put such a passive unit outside a case, and of course it will fail to perform.
