| Apple Rolls Out Safari 5.1.4, Google Delivers 18.0.1025.56 Beta Today, mobile arch-rivals Apple and Google have both released updates for their PC/Mac browsers, Safari and Chrome. Apple made available the 5.1.4 version of Safari for both Windows and Mac OS, while Google has served up the Chrome 18.0.1025.56 Beta for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The new Chrome Beta includes the following highlights: - GPU acceleration of the Canvas 2D is now disabled by default and can be enabled in about :flags - Disabled the image transport surface on Windows Vista and 7.
